Pump.fun fees explained
Pump.fun fees are simpler than most platforms but often misquoted. This guide covers what you actually pay: the trading fee on every buy and sell, the creator fee share you earn on your own token, and what creating a token costs (nothing, beyond network fees). All figures link to the official source so you see the current number, not one from a screenshot that aged.
The short version: there is no creation fee. Trading carries a percentage fee that goes to the platform and, since 2025, partly to the token creator. Check pump.fun/docs/fees for the exact current percentages.

Creation fee
Creating a token on Pump.fun has no platform fee. You pay only the Solana network fee for the transaction, which is a fraction of a SOL. The network fee covers rent for the token accounts and the transaction itself.
If you make an initial buy (buying your own token at launch), the trading fee applies to that purchase, but the creation itself costs nothing beyond what Solana charges.
Trading fee
Every buy and sell on the Pump.fun bonding curve incurs a trading fee, calculated as a percentage of the transaction. This fee is taken from the trade and goes to the platform.
The exact percentage is published on pump.fun/docs/fees. It has changed over time, so always check the official documentation for the current rate rather than trusting a fixed number in a guide.
This fee applies to all trades on the bonding curve, including your initial buy if you make one. After a token graduates to PumpSwap, trading continues there with its own fee structure.
What you pay at launch
What leaves your wallet depends on where you launch. Directly on Pump.fun you pay Solana network fees plus any initial buy. Through the meme coin generator the launch transaction also includes this site’s studio fee, which is 0.05 SOL and is shown in Phantom before you approve.
- Solana network fee: A fraction of a SOL, paid to Solana validators. Required on every launch.
- Studio fee (this site only): 0.05 SOL, paid in the same transaction when you launch from MemeTokenGenerator. Pump.fun itself does not charge this.
- Initial buy (optional): Whatever SOL you choose to spend buying your own token. You can launch with none.
- Trading fee on initial buy: If you make an initial buy, Pump.fun’s trading fee applies. The rate is on pump.fun/docs/fees.
A no-buy launch on Pump.fun itself is network fees only. A no-buy launch from this site is network fees plus the 0.05 SOL studio fee. The cost calculator shows dollar figures at the live SOL price.
Fees after graduation
When a token graduates (the bonding curve completes), Pump.fun moves liquidity to PumpSwap. Trading continues there with its own fee structure. The creator fee share continues to accrue from PumpSwap trades.
Graduation itself does not charge you anything. It happens automatically when the bonding curve fills.
Comparing to other launchpads
Many token launchpads charge creation fees, listing fees, or take a percentage of supply. Pump.fun charges none of these. The trading fee model means the platform earns only when people trade, and creators earn alongside it.
This makes Pump.fun one of the cheapest ways to launch a token, especially combined with Solana’s low network fees.
