How to withdraw from Pump.fun
Pump.fun is non-custodial, which means there is no balance to withdraw in the traditional sense. Your tokens and SOL are in your own Phantom wallet the entire time. "Withdrawing" from Pump.fun means selling tokens back to the bonding curve for SOL, then sending that SOL wherever you want.
This guide covers how to sell tokens, how creator fees work, and how to move SOL from your Phantom wallet to an exchange or another wallet.

There is no Pump.fun balance
Unlike centralised exchanges, Pump.fun does not hold your funds. When you buy a token, it goes directly to your Phantom wallet. When you sell, SOL goes directly to your wallet. The platform never has custody.
This means you do not "withdraw from Pump.fun." You sell tokens on Pump.fun, and the SOL is already yours, in your wallet, the moment the transaction confirms.
How to sell tokens on Pump.fun
Selling tokens converts them back to SOL at the current bonding curve price.
- Connect Phantom. Go to pump.fun and connect your wallet if not already connected.
- Find your token. Click your wallet address or profile to see tokens you hold, or search for the token by name or contract address.
- Open the token page. Click the token to open its trading page.
- Click Sell. Enter the amount you want to sell or click a percentage button (25%, 50%, 100%).
- Review and approve. Phantom shows the transaction details and the SOL you will receive (minus the trading fee). Approve to complete.
The SOL appears in your Phantom wallet immediately. The trading fee applies to every sell, so the amount you receive is slightly less than the bonding curve price times quantity.
How to connect Phantom wallet to Pump.fun
If you have not connected Phantom to Pump.fun before, click the Connect Wallet button in the top right of the site. Select Phantom from the list and approve the connection request in your wallet.
Connecting does not give Pump.fun access to your funds. It only lets the site read your public address and request transaction signatures, which you approve individually.
Make sure you are on the real pump.fun site. Bookmark it and always check the URL before connecting.
How creator fees accrue
If you created a token on Pump.fun, you earn a share of trading fees automatically. This applies to all trades on your token, both on the bonding curve and after graduation to PumpSwap.
Creator fees accrue directly to the wallet that created the token. There is nothing to claim or withdraw; the SOL is added to your balance as trades happen.
The current creator fee percentage is at pump.fun/docs/fees. You can see your accumulated creator earnings in your wallet’s transaction history.
Sending SOL to an exchange
Once SOL is in your Phantom wallet, you can send it anywhere, including a centralised exchange like Coinbase, Kraken or Binance.
- Get your exchange deposit address. In your exchange account, go to Deposit and select SOL (Solana). Copy the deposit address exactly.
- Open Phantom. Click Send, select SOL, and paste the exchange deposit address.
- Enter the amount. Leave a small amount for future network fees if you plan to use the wallet again.
- Send and wait. Confirm in Phantom. Solana transactions finalize in seconds, but exchanges may require confirmations before crediting your account.
Double-check the address before sending. Solana transactions are irreversible. If you send to the wrong address, the SOL is gone.
Sending SOL to another wallet
Same process as sending to an exchange: click Send in Phantom, paste the destination wallet address, enter the amount, and confirm. The recipient sees it in their wallet within seconds.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Selling at a loss on a graduated token. After graduation, price depends on the PumpSwap pool, not the bonding curve. Check the price before selling.
- Forgetting the trading fee. Every sell incurs the trading fee. The SOL you receive is less than the displayed price times quantity.
- Sending to the wrong network. SOL deposit addresses on some exchanges are specific to the Solana network. Do not send to an EVM address or another chain.
- Draining the wallet. Keep a small SOL balance for future network fees. Without it, you cannot send tokens or interact with the chain.
